Living Lightly - Upcycled Gifts & Beeswax Wraps Workshop

Get creative with everyday materials and discover simple ways to make thoughtful, practical gifts while reducing waste.

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore ideas for giving everyday items and materials a second life, turning things that might otherwise be discarded into useful, attractive or giftable creations.

We’ll also look at beeswax wraps as a reusable alternative for storing and covering food, including how they are made, how to use and care for them, and ways to refresh them to help extend their life.

Along the way, we’ll share ideas for low-waste gift giving, creative reuse and simple presentation, including ways to make gifts feel special without relying on lots of new materials or unnecessary packaging.

The focus is on approachable ideas that can be adapted to what you already have at home — with plenty of inspiration for creating something personal, useful and a little different.

Whether you’re looking for gift ideas, interested in reducing household waste or simply enjoy making and reusing things, this workshop is a relaxed opportunity to get creative and pick up some practical ideas along the way.

This workshop is part of the Living Lightly series, delivered by Harriet Pellizzer in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council.

Registration is essential so we can keep in contact if there are any changes and ensure adequate materials for participants.
