Living Lightly - Sustainable Festive Tips Workshop
In this relaxed and practical workshop, we’ll explore a range of ideas for making the festive season a little more sustainable, without taking away the things that make it special.
We’ll look at creative approaches to gifts, wrapping, decorating, food and entertaining, along with ways to reuse what you already have, reduce unnecessary waste and make thoughtful choices about what you buy and bring into your home.
There’ll be ideas for adding a personal touch, making the most of leftovers and festive food, rethinking some of the things we automatically buy each year, and finding simple alternatives that can save resources — and sometimes money too.
Most importantly, this isn't about creating a perfectly sustainable festive season. It’s about gathering ideas, trying what works for you and discovering small changes that can make celebrating feel a little lighter.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, hoping to reduce festive waste or simply interested in doing things a little differently this year, you’ll leave with plenty of ideas to take home, adapt and make your own.
This workshop is part of the Living Lightly series, delivered by Harriet Pellizzer in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council.
Registration is essential so we can keep in contact if there are any changes and ensure adequate materials for participants.
