Living Lightly - Seed Saving & Swapping

Learn how to save, store, and share seeds to grow your own food and support a more sustainable garden. This practical workshop will introduce the basics of seed saving, including which plants are easiest to start with, how to collect and dry seeds, and how to store them for future planting. We will also explore the benefits of seed swapping, helping to build local resilience, reduce costs, and keep a wider variety of plants in circulation.

You are encouraged to bring along any seeds you have to share or swap, though this is not essential. There will be opportunities to learn from others, ask questions, and build confidence in growing from seed at home.

Perfect for beginners or gardeners looking to take the next step, this session focuses on simple, achievable techniques that can be used in any garden space.

This session is part of the Living Lightly series and is delivered by Bass Coast Adult Learning in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council.

Registration is essential so we can keep in contact if there are any changes and ensure adequate materials for participants.
