Living Lightly - Dehydrating Foods

Interested in reducing food waste and making the most of seasonal produce? This beginner-friendly workshop explores practical, accessible ways to dehydrate foods at home. We’ll look at how dehydration works, which foods dehydrate well, and how this method can extend the life of fruits, vegetables and herbs.

Participants will learn the foundations of safe food dehydration, including preparation techniques, storage considerations and everyday uses for dehydrated foods. The focus is on realistic, home-based approaches that can be adapted to your own kitchen.

This free workshop is part of the Living Lightly series and is delivered by Bass Coast Adult Learning in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council.
