Community screening of Power On

Please join South Gippsland Conservation Society and the Energy Innovation Co-operative for the community screening of 'Power On' followed by a special presentation of "Get off gas & Home Electrification" by Richard Keech.

One hundred years after the beginning of the Latrobe Valley coal industry, workers and communities in Gippsland are preparing for a whole new energy system powered by renewables.

This September 16, you’re invited to the Bass Coast community screening of Power On, a 25-minute short film by Ellen Burbidge and produced by Friends of the Earth, telling the story of Gippsland’s incredible energy transformation.

Through a series of inspiring and heartfelt interviews with leaders from across the Gippsland region, you will learn how communities are seizing the opportunities in renewable energy right now to build a better future.

The screening will be hosted by The Energy Innovation Coop and South Gippsland Conservation Society, and will be followed by a presentation by Richard Keech on Home Electrification and Getting Off Gas.

Richard Keech is an engineer and energy consultant, a member of the Energy Innovation Co-operative Board and an administrator of the My Efficient Electric Home FB group which has about 100,000 members.
